intro: the grain engine is an experimental 3D engine that I'm developing independently to implement and work with several well known real-time 3D graphics techniques as well as to explore and develop various "new" ideas i have. grain is not a game. nor will it likely ever be "finished". its a testbed, a tool if you will, for my research. it may evolve into more than this eventually.

  Still Alive And Coding 28 December 1999 (1:59am) - Early Tuesday  
I'm still around and have every intention of continuing with the updates to this site (definitely more frequently). I had a few side-tracks and annoying non-computer related things going on this month, but I'm back to work on the engine. As stated in my previous update, the plugins are done (and have been since then). The Direct X7 module is done, as with most of the major structural components of the engine. I'm currently adding some real features now. I'll try to update with my progress as often as possible. Hope you had an enjoyable holiday season.
